WORKADAY TIP #51: Pick Out Clothes The Night Before

In the morning, you are often running late.  It's difficult to make decisions on what to wear when you are in a rush.  So in order to save time and reduce stress, pick out your clothes the night before.

I actually pick our two outfits.  I pick out what I am going to wear to work the next day and I set out my exercise clothes for my morning workout.  This allows me to hit the snooze button just one more time before I head to my class and it let's me spend just a few more minutes in a warm shower before I head off to work!

WORKADAY TIP #50: Say No To Receipts

Save the environment and save a little time in the process   Say no to receipts. 

Bank and gas receipts are easy ones.  You have the option to print those or not. 

You can also tell stores that you don't need a receipt.  This, of course, assumes that you won't need to return anything you are purchasing.   Often times they can ring up the order without printing a receipt for you. 

Waiting for a receipt can take up precious seconds of your day so save some time and give them up!

WORKADAY TIP #49: Learn Blackberry Shortcuts

There are quite a few blackberry shortcuts but these are the three that save me the most time. 

1. To capitalize a letter with one click, hold down the letter key
2. To delete multiple email messages at once, hold down the shift key, scroll and click
3. To get to the top of your email messages, hit "T", to get to the bottom, hit "B"

This article gives you a bunch of other good ones to choose from.  By using shortcuts you'll be more efficient at work and you'll save time for fun mobile activities like texting your friends and family!  

WORKADAY TIP #48: Run To And Fro

So I probably look silly most of the time but I've made a habit of literally running (or walking really fast) to and from my destination.

When I am headed from the parking lot to the gym or the office, I am running, jogging or walking fast.  When I am headed from my garage to my apartment, I am jogging and then running up the stairs.  

Moving quickly to and fro will provide a little more exercise and it will save time.  So laugh if you want, but I bet my heart is stronger than yours!

WORKADAY TIP #47: Dine And Earn Cash

In a tough economy, spending money at a restaurant is hard to justify.  So when you do, I suggest using Open Table.  When you make a reservation through Open Table, you earn points that can be used towards a gift certificate for any participating restaurant!

You typically get 100 points per reservation but sometimes they have special offers where they'll give up to 1,000 points.  When you get 2,000 points you can request a FREE $20 gift certificate.

By doing this over time, you'll save money with free gift certificates plus you won't have to wait for a table at your favorite restaurant.   They also do a good job of organizing restaurants by cuisine which can help you efficiently find new restaurants!
